Service: Long term

The work of Ezra began in 1995 in Ukraine in direct response to a vision God gave American businessman, Mel Hoezle. The Jewish people had been free to leave the former Soviet Union after its collapse in 1991 but many were held back due to a wall of poverty – not having the funds to pay for their trips to the Israeli Consul, their foreign passports and other expenses related to documents needed. Ezra’s work has expanded with teams now in 16 countries. Additionally Ezra has promotional bases in 5 other countries. Ezra works in two main strands. The first is aliyah – the return of the Jewish people to their Biblical and historical homeland. This help is in the form of information, financial support and transport to the airport on departure day. Ezra teams are made up of local believers who have answered God’s call to the gentiles to help bring and carry His people home (Is 49:22). The second strand is that of bring awareness to the churches by teaching on aliyah and Israel.

Pat Frame serves as CEO of Ezra International, overseeing all the work of Ezra not just the work here in UK. She has worked full time in aliyah since 1991.
